From the Winemaker
As one of the first producers of Pinot gris in Oregon, we helped define the classic Willamette Valley style of this racy white wine - crisp, clean, bright fruit flavors matched to a rich, mouth-filling texture. Our wine is made without sweetness or new oak and is meant to bring freshness to tonight's formal or casual meal.
Crisp, bright flavors have always been the hallmark of Adelsheim Pinot gris. In this 2011, you’ll find hints of papaya, apples and pears. It pulls off the difficult feat of providing a gentle creaminess that lends a rich, mouthfilling texture and long finish, yet still impressing as a wine that’s crisp and clean.
Try it with mildly spicy foods (such as ceviche), not so mildly spicy Thai cuisine, rich fishentrees, and even classic oven-roasted fowl.
Evolution Says...
Summer picnics jam packed with hamburgers, hotdogs, Jell-O molds, pasta salads, fresh corn, and watermelon are made better by a cool and crisp glass of Pinot gris. While others are suffering through their sickly sweet wine coolers or their tasteless lite beers, we love to sit back on your lounge chair with our glass of Adelsheim Pinot gris and enjoy every flavorful refreshing sip.
